DIY: Paint trims like a Pro

So you have decided to paint your trims yourself before putting them up?
After giving it a try with a paint brush, you wish you didn’t have the “brush stoke” finish.

Here is an easy way to paint your trims without the “I did it myself” look.

1- Paint the trim with a brush as you would normally do. At this point, you will see the bristle lines left in the paint. Don’t worry; you will be rid of these in a second!

2- Put paint on a small foam roller just so it is not dry. It should NOT be soaked because it will not roll properly. Once the trim has a fresh coat of paint on, use the foam roller to even out the paint and erase the brush strokes.

3- Voilà! See the difference of finish between the brush and the foam roller? The foam roller gives a more professional finish than the brush.

There you go!
