Small spaces tips

Does your space look small? Here are a couple of hints on how to easily make it look larger:

1- Add mirrors
Mirrors make spaces look larger by adding a depth illusion. They also lighten up rooms by reflecting the light. Don't hesitate to add mirrors to your wall art collection or in specific well thought places.

2- Use light colors
Light colors refreshen up a room and make it look wider, while dark colors make walls and ceilings look closer. Go for lighter colors and with a little paint, you will gain space you never knew you had!

3- Go for a monochromatic scheme
A monochromatic scheme fades out the lines and hides wall limits. With tone on tone, you will generate an illusion of continous space. However, avoid flat or dull design by playing with textures.

4- Clear out the space
Cluttered space seems much smaller than clear space. Since empty space give the impression of larger rooms, it's time to clean up and put things away.
